S3D Config file setup
API Health Check
Before starting a recording session, verify the
API is running. Look for a green health check icon within the S3D software to confirm functionality. This ensures captured videos can be reorganized after recording.
Software Basics - How to use and record with the software
Once the S3D application is open, turn the cameras on.
Select the cameras you would like to record or simply select all.
Then at the top of the page select “Start Recording.”
Choose a user, exercise from drop down menu. Users and Exercises can be added in the Config file.
Once the athlete and exercise have been selected, the participant can begin the exercise.
After each movement or exercise is complete, simply click the green “Clip Video” button. This saves a designated clip of that trial based on the pre-defined duration assigned to that specific exercise.
Your session summary will display a list of collected trials and video clips, organized by participant, exercise, and duration.
Once all Trials are recorded click on Stop Recording or alternatively when last Trial is being performed use Stop Recording instead of Clip Video.
The Sony RX0 cameras will continuously capture video throughout the session until stop recording is selected.
Once the recoding has stopped you can select the blue download trials button.
Downloading your video clips
After you select “Download,” a window will pop up allowing you to select the video files you wish to download.
This will start downloading the files for the trials from the selected cameras.
Downloading videos can take a long time, depending on the total number of trials performed.
Locating downloaded clips
After importing and downloading your videos, you'll find them organized on your D: drive following this structure:
Root Folder: D: drive
