Shock Absorption

  1. Determine XZ values of knee and hip joint centers at timepoint of max knee flexion
  2. Calculate the difference in X and Z between knee and hip joint centers
  3. Calculate the thigh angle by inverse tangent of difference in Z over difference in X
  4. Metric calculated for Drop Jump, Triple Jump, Deceleration, Cut.
  • If thigh angle is less than 30, score is 2
  • If thigh angle is greater than 45, score is 0
  • Otherwise, score is 1
